Update 05/15/20

Dear All Star Basketball Families,

Over the last months, we have all faced unprecedented challenges that we never imagined. We want to thank you for your continued support and patience as we have been planning our next steps. Many youth sports programs throughout the country have been extremely cautious and have waited to make concrete decisions and we have been following suit.

The health and safety of our staff, players, and families remains a top priority. Due to the information provided by health experts, government officials, and sports experts we have made the decision to pushback our summer timeline to ensure the safety of all. We plan to open our doors to our new facility in mid-summer.

When we do open our doors, we plan to run our programs as best as we can given the current situation. We plan to offer all our regularly scheduled programs and new services too.

  • Summer Camps

  • Youth League & Practice

  • Open Gym

  • Parent’s Night Out

  • Parties

  • Dance & Cheer Program

  • Adult Open Gym with Referees

  • Adult Training

  • Private Gym Rentals

  • Women’s & Men’s Leagues

  • And in the works: All Star Volleyball

We will increase our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all our participants.

These efforts include:

  • Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath is prohibited from working, participating, or entering the facility. Thank you for your understanding.

  • We are limiting the number of participants in all our programs to ensure safe distancing during the entire class. When registration opens, register early to get your spot!

  • We have put a great deal of thought into our training program, how to redesign it and how to ensure that players remain healthy, but still improve their game and enjoy everything they do at All Star Basketball. We have developed a camp, practice, and training curriculum that requires limited to no-contact with other players. We will focus on individual player skills like

  • Make the Shot: shooting form development, correction, and improvement

  • Make the Move: effective foundational dribbling and ball handling moves

  • Make the Layup: development, correction, and improvement of the layup

  • How to Move: developing great footwork for shooting, passing, getting open, dribble moves, perimeter moves, and post moves

  • Demanding Defender: developing defensive skills, footwork, and game intelligence for elite defense

  • Finish Strong: increasing athleticism, stamina, and good sportsmanship

  • At this time, health officials and sports experts are discouraging the playing of youth team vs team basketball games as this requires physical contact during play and there is a greater risk of virus transmission. This is temporary - as soon as we get word that is safe to play, WE WILL PLAY, but for now we TRAIN.

  • We will require all players to bring their own basketball, water bottle, and we will now require all players to wear their own practice reversible jersey so we will not have to share pinnies during instruction. Please sanitize everything upon leaving and returning to the facility.

  • Only 1 parent per player will be allowed in the gym at any given time. These parents will have to follow our seating arrangements. No other children are allowed in the gym. We are also developing a live-stream plan for viewing our programs on mobile devices outside the facility.

Additionally, we have implemented many COVID-19 safety measures like installing extra hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility. Installing touchless washing stations in the restrooms and high touch surfaces throughout the facility will be sanitized frequently. We will also conduct regular reminders for players and staff about good hygiene practices and we will have hand sanitizing breaks throughout the day for all our staff and participants.

Please take a minute to checkout our website for upcoming program schedules. Again, thank you for your patience, concern, and notes of encouragement, this means a lot to us! We miss all of you so much and can’t wait to see you all soon!

Sincerely,

Coach Joseph Beltran
