All Star Basketball JUNIOR

ASB Junior is held in our Junior Gym for only 4-5 year olds.
3.5 years and older are welcome to sign up for a free trial class to receive approval to register.

Parents may stay and watch or drop off.

All Star Basketball JUNIOR aims to introduce and develop fundamental basketball skills and other sports skills in a fun and age-appropriate manner for 4-5 year olds. Through a combination of drills, games, and exercises, children learn the basics of dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense. This program focuses on building coordination, agility, and teamwork, while also instilling a love for sports. Coaches provide a supportive and encouraging environment, ensuring that children feel confident and motivated to improve their basketball skills. By participating in our program, young children not only develop their physical abilities but also learn important values such as sportsmanship, discipline, and perseverance, setting a strong foundation for their future involvement in all sports.

This is a great preparation for All Star Basketball League Play and all our other programs available when the child turns six.

Register today or set up a FREE TRIAL CLASS.

HANGING AND CLIMBING

JUNIOR PROGRAM

Sports Skills

Through a combination of drills, games, and exercises, children learn the basics of dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense. These programs focus on building coordination, agility, and teamwork, while also instilling a love for the sport.

Hanging & Climbing

The All Star Basketball Junior program incorporates a one-of-a-kind climbing and hanging system designed especially for young children. Climbing and hanging play a crucial role in children's development for several reasons. Firstly, these activities help improve children's strength and coordination. Climbing requires the use of various muscle groups, including the arms, legs, and core, which helps develop overall physical strength. Hanging exercises, build upper body strength and grip strength. Additionally, climbing and hanging activities enhance children's motor skills and body awareness. They learn to navigate and control their bodies in space, improving their balance, spatial orientation, and proprioception. Engaging in these activities helps build resilience, perseverance, and self-confidence as children overcome obstacles and achieve new heights. It also fosters a sense of adventure and exploration, encouraging children to push their boundaries and discover their capabilities.

Obstacle Courses

All ASB Jr classes contain obstacle course exercises which offer a wide range of benefits for young children's development. Firstly, they promote physical fitness and overall health by engaging children in activities that require running, jumping, crawling, climbing, and balancing. These exercises help improve their strength, endurance, coordination, and flexibility. Our obstacle courses also enhance gross motor skills as children navigate through various obstacles, such as tunnels, hurdles, and balance beams and more. Moreover, obstacle courses stimulate cognitive development by requiring children to problem-solve and make quick decisions as they figure out the best way to overcome each challenge. They enhance spatial awareness, as children learn to judge distances and navigate through tight spaces and so much more!

Traverse Climbing

Your child will love our unique traverse climbing wall designed specifically for children ages 3-6 years. Traverse climbing offers numerous benefits for children's development. Firstly, it helps improve their physical strength and coordination as they navigate across the climbing wall using their arms, legs, and core muscles. This activity also enhances their balance and body awareness, as they learn to distribute their weight and maintain stability while climbing. Traverse climbing promotes problem-solving skills, as children strategize and plan their route, assessing the best hand and foot placements. Additionally, it boosts their confidence and self-esteem as they overcome challenges and achieve small victories along the wall. The activity also encourages social interaction and teamwork, as children can support and cheer each other on during their climbing endeavors.
