Personal basketball training clinics which provide well-rounded comprehensive basketball education, focusing on skill development.

These specialized training sessions will improve shooting form, ball handling, defensive techniques, post moves, and perimeter play and more. Players will improve their over all basketball IQ in a small group setting.

B-BALL UNIVERSITY CLASSES

INTRO TO BASKETBALL

Our Intro to Basketball Class is for players new to basketball. In this class, students will learne the basic skills, rules, and strategies of the game. Some of the key topics covered in this class include: -Basic basketball skills: Dribbling, passing, shooting, and rebounding.  -Rules and regulations: The fundamental rules of basketball, including fouls, violations, and scoring. Students learn how to play within the boundaries of the game and understand the role of referees and officials. -Game strategy and positioning: Introduce students to basic offensive and defensive strategies. This includes understanding different positions on the court, offensive plays, defensive formations, and teamwork. -Sportsmanship and teamwork: Students are taught the importance of good sportsmanship, fair play, and teamwork. They learn how to communicate effectively with teammates, respect opponents, and work together towards a common goal. -Game simulations and practice: To apply the skills and knowledge learned, students participate in game simulations and practice sessions. This allows them to experience real-game scenarios, improve their decision-making abilities, and enhance their overall basketball skills.

01 BALL HANDLING

Our Ball Handling class aims to improve a player's ability to control the ball, make effective moves, and maintain possession in various game situations. Some of the key topics covered in this class include: -Dribbling: Different types of dribbles, such as beginner dribbling, crossover, between the legs, behind the back, and spin moves, are taught to improve a player's ability to maneuver the ball while moving.  -Ball control: Techniques to improve hand-eye coordination, finger strength, and overall control of the basketball are emphasized. This includes drills to enhance dribbling speed, accuracy, and control. ​-Hand positioning: Proper hand placement on the ball is taught to ensure better control and reduce turnovers. Students learn how to position their fingers, palm, and wrist to maximize ball control. ​​-Weak hand development: Emphasis is placed on developing proficiency with the non-dominant hand. This includes drills and exercises to improve dribbling, passing, and shooting with the weak hand. -Moves and fakes: Various offensive moves, such as crossovers, hesitations, and fakes, are taught to help players create space, deceive defenders, and improve their ability to drive to the basket.  -Speed and agility: Drills are conducted to enhance a player's quickness, agility, and reaction time, enabling them to navigate through defenders and maintain control of the ball.  -Game situations: Students are exposed to simulated game scenarios where they practice ball handling skills under pressure, such as against defenders or in fast-paced situations. -Decision-making: Along with ball handling skills, players are taught to make effective decisions on when to pass, shoot, or drive based on the game situation and defensive positioning.

02 SHOOTING

Our Shooting Class focuses on developing and refining the shooting skills of players. Overall, this class aims to enhance a player's shooting technique, range, accuracy, and ability to shoot effectively in various game situations.  Some of the key topics covered in this class include: -Shooting technique: Proper shooting form and mechanics are taught, including footwork, hand placement, body alignment, and follow-through. Students learn the fundamentals of shooting, such as the BEEF (Balance, Eyes, Elbow, Follow-through) principle.  ​​-Shooting range: Students are taught how to shoot from different distances on the court, including close-range shots, mid-range jumpers, and three-point shots. Techniques to increase shooting range and accuracy are emphasized.  ​-Shooting off screens: Techniques for shooting when coming off screens or receiving passes from teammates are taught. Students learn how to create space, read the defense, and shoot accurately in these situations. -Shooting under pressure: Students practice shooting in game-like scenarios, including shooting with defenders closing out, shooting in transition, and shooting with time constraints. This helps players develop composure and accuracy in high-pressure situations. -Shooting drills: Various shooting drills are conducted to improve shooting skills, such as spot shooting, shooting off the catch, shooting off the dribble, and shooting while fatigued. These drills focus on repetition, muscle memory, and consistency.  -Shot selection: Students learn about shot selection and decision-making, understanding when to take a shot, when to pass, and how to make smart choices based on the game situation and defensive pressure.  -Mental aspects: The class will also cover mental aspects of shooting, including focus, confidence, visualization, and overcoming shooting slumps. Students learn techniques to improve their mental approach to shooting.

03 DEFENSIVE SKILLS

Our Defenseive Skills Class focuses on teaching players the skills and techniques necessary to become effective defenders. Some of the key topics covered in this class include: -Defensive stance and footwork: Students learn the proper defensive stance, which includes positioning their feet, knees bent, and hands active. They are taught how to move laterally, shuffle, and slide their feet to stay in front of their opponents. ​-On-ball defense: Techniques for guarding an offensive player one-on-one are taught. This includes learning how to stay in front of the ball handler, using active hands to disrupt dribbles and passes, and applying pressure without fouling. ​-Help defense: Students learn how to provide support to teammates by rotating and helping on defense. This includes techniques such as hedging, trapping, and rotating to cover open players.  ​-Closeouts: Techniques for closing out on shooters are taught, including proper positioning, contesting shots, and preventing dribble penetration. ​-Defensive positioning: Students learn how to position themselves effectively on the court, including denying passing lanes, maintaining proper spacing, and anticipating offensive movements. ​-Communication: The importance of communication on defense is emphasized. Students learn how to effectively communicate with teammates, calling out screens, switches, and defensive assignments.  -Defensive drills: Various drills are conducted to improve defensive skills, such as one-on-one drills, shell drills, and defensive transition drills. These drills focus on improving reaction time, agility, and defensive instincts. -Defensive strategies: Students learn different defensive strategies, such as man-to-man defense, zone defense, and full-court press. They understand the principles and objectives of each strategy and how to execute them effectively.  ​-Defensive mindset: The class may also focus on developing a defensive mindset, including intensity, focus, and determination. Students learn the importance of effort, discipline, and teamwork on the defensive end.

05 PASSING

Our Passing Class aims to develop players' passing skills, accuracy, decision-making, and overall understanding of passing principles. This class helps players become  ​-Some of the key topics covered in this class include: ​-Passing fundamentals: Students learn the basic fundamentals of passing, including proper hand placement, wrist snap, and follow-through. They practice different types of passes, such as chest passes, bounce passes, overhead passes, and one-handed passes. ​-Passing accuracy: Techniques to improve passing accuracy and precision are taught. Students practice passing to specific targets, hitting teammates in stride, and delivering passes with the right amount of speed and touch. ​-Passing angles: Students learn how to create passing angles and make accurate passes in different situations. They understand the importance of positioning themselves to have clear passing lanes and avoid turnovers.  -Passing under pressure: Techniques for passing in tight spaces and against defensive pressure are taught. Students practice making quick decisions, using fakes and misdirections, and finding open teammates in challenging situations.  -Passing on the move: Students learn how to pass while moving, including passing on the dribble, passing on the run, and passing in transition. They practice making accurate passes while maintaining control and balance. ​-Advanced passing techniques: Students are introduced to more advanced passing techniques, such as no-look passes, behind-the-back passes, and alley-oops. They learn when and how to use these techniques effectively. -Passing in different game situations: Students practice passing in various game scenarios, such as fast breaks, pick-and-roll situations, and against zone defenses. They learn how to read the defense, make effective passes, and create scoring opportunities for their teammates. -Decision-making: The class emphasizes the importance of making smart passing decisions. Students learn how to assess the game situation, read the defense, and make the right pass based on the circumstances. -Communication: The class may also cover the importance of communication in passing. Students learn how to effectively communicate with teammates, calling for the ball, and providing clear signals for passes.

06 OFFENSIVE MOVES

Our Offensive Moves Class aims to develop players' offensive skills, scoring ability, decision-making, and overall understanding of offensive principles. The class helps players become more versatile and effective scorers, capable of creating their own shots, finishing at the rim, and contributing to their team's offensive success. Some of the key topics covered in this class include: -Dribble moves: Students learn various dribble moves to create space and beat defenders. This includes crossovers, between the legs, behind the back, spin moves, and hesitation dribbles. They practice executing these moves effectively to get past defenders and create scoring opportunities.  -Finishing at the rim: Techniques for finishing layups and floaters near the basket are taught. Students learn how to use different angles, body control, and shot fakes to score efficiently around the rim. They practice finishing with both hands and using the backboard effectively. -Shooting techniques: Students learn different shooting techniques to improve their scoring ability. This includes catch-and-shoot, pull-up jumpers, step-back shots, and fadeaways. They practice shooting from various spots on the court and in different game situations. ​-Post moves: Techniques for scoring in the post are taught, including drop steps, jump hooks, up-and-under moves, and post spins. Students learn how to establish position, use their body to create space, and finish effectively in the post. -Off-ball movement: Students learn how to move without the ball to create scoring opportunities. This includes techniques such as cutting, screening, and using screens to get open for shots or layups. They practice reading the defense and making effective cuts to receive passes in scoring positions. -Reading the defense: Students learn how to read the defense and make quick decisions based on the defensive positioning. They practice recognizing defensive rotations, help defenders, and making the right offensive move to exploit defensive weaknesses. ​-Shot selection: The class emphasizes the importance of shot selection and making smart offensive decisions. Students learn when to take a shot, when to pass, and how to make effective choices based on the game situation and defensive pressure. -Offensive drills: Various drills are conducted to improve offensive moves and scoring ability. This includes one-on-one drills, shooting drills, and game-like scenarios where students practice executing offensive moves against defenders.
